2) Lab Issues – 30 min
OIT has 4 new 10.10 machines deployed because of new hardware, rest remain 10.9. OpenAFS can not be deployed on 10.10 due to no signing of kernel modules and this is an issue with liability so may not be resolved. Also, 10.10 no longer allows weak crypto in kerberos and can not be used with current university servers. Can use sftp software as workaround like MacFusion/MacFuse for mounted virtual disk or Filezilla/fetch for transfer. Must have MatLab 2015a. Will need to update to new JMP licenses in next 60 days. SPSS 22 remains very difficult to install or clone due to per CPU licensing, Java requirements and license tool requiring GUI console login. Other issues? Discussion
