4) Service Updates- 15 min
Casper – Update to 9.92 complete. JCDS is now master distribution point. Will keep current JDS structure until we are sure JCDS is meets our needs but starting to disable JDS servers in pool as distribution points and will remove 2 of 4 July 11, 2016. Alpha testing SSO solutions for SAML with Google (complete and works) and Shib (still working on correct configuration) and other new features of 9.93. Cleaning up packages and waiting on JAMF for patch to issue PI-002395, Package updates are inefficient when there are a large number of packages in JSS.
CrashPlan – Still Working on custom.properties fix for issue with brand new clients using 5.x where “deferred” login is not working and blocks automatic addition of new users. Hoping to see 5.2 release some time before Aug 2016.
NetInstall – Reverted to 10.11.3 due to netinstall issues with .4/.5 (nuke.nbi & sh)
AutoPKGR – no new packages, More clean up as we add new package versions. Note info about Casper Patching as it is available.
Kaspersky – the /cores/core.nnn files fill of boot volumes issue was never resolved after several attempts to send logs we were not able to capture needed trace logs so issue remains. If anyone can get logs per support.kaspersky.com/us/12335 and http://support.kaspersky.com/us/general/dumps/10909 WHILE seeing the issue please send to help@ncsu.edu Additional issues still exist with web integrity checking slowing down and crippling clients with no resolution.
Packaging – New Adobe Licensing will require new packages. We will be able to create the new packages AFTER July 15, 2016. Full Creative Cloud is 16+ gig. Considering deploying individual packages only with separate license package so can be shared across nc.jamfcloud.com. Beginning to work on other licensed packages for fall as new versions become available.

OIT Security and Compliance is proposing a new EndPoint Protection rule and is looking for feedback and help with the suggested implementation document.
