Although you may have seen the option for Team Drive in your G Suite Drive structure, OIT has not yet turned on the ability for end users to create one.

NC State was recently accepted into Google’s Early Adopter Program for Team Drive, which allows the management, organization and sharing of information to be done easily at a team or project level.

Team Drive is still considered under development by Google, and OIT is investigating how it will function in the campus Google environment before expanding testing to other units. OIT will provide more information to campus as it becomes available.
