- Two-Factor Authentication – User Support Training will be offered Monday, March 20 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Thursday, April 13 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. This session is intended to help IT staff assist employees with the campus 2FA enrollment process and to help answer common end-user questions. - Gmail: Advanced Productivity will be offered on Tuesday, March 21 from 9 a.m. to noon in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. Building on Gmail: More than your Inbox, this advanced hands-on workshop takes Gmail to the next level. You will learn more about labels, filters, canned responses, scheduling Google Calendar Events, Hangouts, and using Google Drive through Gmail, along with any planned or newly released features. - Two-Factor Authentication at NC State (BYOD) will be offered on Wednesday, March 22 from noon to 1 p.m. in 216 Scott Hall. NC State uses two multi-factor solutions to protect many systems, accounts and services. Google 2-Step protects G Suite accounts, and Duo protects Shibboleth-connected services, like the MyPack Portal and WolfWare. Bring your laptop and mobile device to this class to set up these multi-factor solutions. In addition, you’ll learn the risks to you and to campus from phishing and other nefarious online activities and how two-factor authentication can protect you and the university against cyber threats. - Create, Collaborate & Get Organized with Google Drive will be offered on Thursday, March 23 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and Thursday, April 20 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. Google Drive is the backbone of your Google experience, combining storage, access, sharing, and collaboration with the power of Google Apps. During this hands-on workshop, you will learn how to use Drive to manage your resources in a collaborative environment. - Tripwire Training for Admins of PCI Systems will be offered on Thursday, April 13 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in Room 106 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. This training is for system administrators who will install and monitor Tripwire for Payment Card Industry (PCI) projects and systems.
