  • Basics of WordPress will be offered on Tuesday, April 18 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. Learn everything you need to know to get started using WordPress at NC State, including setup, configuration, themes, plug-ins, settings, options, and management of WordPress.   • Google Forms: Data Collection and Analysis will be offered on Wednesday, April 19 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. Easily build surveys, plan events and gather data with Google Forms. This workshop will cover the basics of creating forms, collaborative editing, and viewing data in spreadsheets and charts.   • Using ServiceNow will be offered on Wednesday, April 19 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. This course will introduce you to the ServiceNow Service Management suite of applications and help you to understand the functional uses of ServiceNow and how it can be integrated into your workflow.   • Gmail: Advanced Productivity will be offered on Tuesday, April 25 from 9 a.m. to noon in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. Building on Gmail: More than your Inbox, this advanced hands-on workshop takes Gmail to the next level. You will learn more about labels, filters, canned responses, scheduling Google Calendar Events, Hangouts, and using Google Drive through Gmail, along with any planned or newly released features.   • Tripwire Training for Admins of PCI Systems will be offered on Wednesday, April 26 from 10 a.m. to noon in Room 106 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. This training is for system administrators who will install and monitor Tripwire for Payment Card Industry (PCI) projects and systems. Attendees will learn advanced topics related to bulk promotion, ongoing machine approval, and custom rule writing, along with a brief overview of the interface, configuration basics, monitoring, and reporting.   • Google Hangouts: Video Conferencing and More will be offered on Wednesday, April 26 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. Hangouts is Google’s free Web conferencing tool that allows you to communicate with others on campus or around the globe via video, audio and text messaging.   • Two-Factor Authentication at NC State will be offered on Thursday, April 27 from noon to 1 p.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. NC State uses two multi-factor solutions to protect many systems, accounts and services. Google 2-Step protects G Suite accounts, and Duo protects Shibboleth-connected services, like the MyPack Portal and WolfWare. Bring your laptop and mobile device to this class to set up these multi-factor solutions. In addition, you’ll learn the risks to you and to campus from phishing and other nefarious online activities and how two-factor authentication can protect you and the university against cyber threats.   • Cisco WebEx will be offered on Friday, April 28 from noon to 1 p.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. This lunch and learn event will provide an overview of how Cisco WebEx Online Meetings enables you to virtually meet, share content and video conference with anyone in the world with an Internet connection, including mobile users.   • Using NC State’s Website Accessibility Scanner will be offered on Tuesday, May 2 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center.   • Gmail: More than your Inbox will be offered on Wednesday, May 3 from 9 a.m. to noon in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. There is more to Gmail than just composing, replying to, and forwarding messages. This workshop will provide an in-depth overview of Gmail features, including an emphasis on labels and search tools, contacts management, chat, tasks, settings, labs, and new features. The course will provide an overview of Google+ along with hands on instruction for creating your own Google+ page.   • G Suite Tools You Should Know and Use (Lunch & Learn Series) will be offered on Wednesday, May 10 from noon to 1 p.m. online via YouTube Live. Are you getting the most out of G Suite or getting by with familiar tools? Join us for an exciting Lunch & Learn event where OIT trainers will take you through their favorite G Suite tips, features and best practices. Topics will cover functionality in several Google apps including auto updating charts, exploring layouts in Google Slides, personalizing banners in Google Hangouts, and more!
