Google rolls out new login page, iPad app and U2F key customization

To improve your online experience, Google has rolled out several new features, including:

  • New login screen
You will now use a new login screen to access Google Services. Google released the new update on April 10 to provide a consistent log-in experience across all mobile devices. The update will impact newer versions of all supported browsers, including Chrome, Firefox, IE, Edge, Safari, and Opera. For more information, visit G Suite Update Blog.
  • iPad Calendar app
iPad users rejoice! Google just released a new Calendar app developed specifically for iPads. Download the app for improved optimization and to access your favorite Calendar features.
  • Google 2-Step Verification security key customization
Many campus users enroll security or U2F keys in Google 2-Step Verification to protect their accounts from being compromised. You can now manage multiple security keys by providing a unique name for each. To register or rename your security key, see 2-Step Verification Settings.
