OIT reports surge in phishing scams on campus

The Office of Information Technology (OIT) will notify the campus community via email today about a significant surge in phishing scams targeting university email accounts. These scams currently involve fraudulent employment offers as well as the IRS, financial aid, immigration status, and fake university websites.

Beware, scammers are constantly developing new ways to trick you into divulging your personal information, steal your identity, compromise your computing device, or steal your money.
