Google implements new security changes

As an account security measure, when you change your NC State G Suite account password, Google will now require you to update any App Passwords you have created.

App Passwords are 16-digit passcodes that act as an alternate second factor for devices and apps that do not support Google Two-Step Verification. See How to Generate an App Password.

Web Registry Users
Please note that any changes, including password changes, to a Google generic account via the Web Registry interface will also require you to update your App Passwords.

For more information, see Sign in using App Passwords.

If you have questions regarding these changes, direct them to the NC State Help Desk at help.ncsu.edu or 919.515.4357 (HELP).
