Beginning Monday, Nov. 16, conversations in Google Chat rooms will be unthreaded by default. This setting could take up to three days to appear in the campus domain.

When you create a new Google Chat room, you can choose the option to have conversations threaded. Once a chat room is created, the threaded or unthreaded setting cannot be changed. 

Note: You cannot unthread an existing chat conversation.
