Configuration Management  -Jamf Pro production is currently 10.31.1, test on nccloudtest is 10.32.2, and current beta is 10.33B2.  Date for the production update to 10.32.2 is Oct 13, 2021 between 1800 and 2345.  Jamf Pro is the only approved Configuration Management system for macOS, iOS/iPadOS, and tvOS.  See

Patch Definition Management
No change A custom patch server is now available as part of Jamf Pro at no extra cost. The patch server is enabled on both test and production servers but no custom patches have been created.

Backup for Endpoints – No changeThe Code42  production service is at version 8.7.1 Existing clients are automatically updated from the cloud server.  For NEW installs only the package in JAMF is “NCSU-Campus-Install Code42-871.pkg”. The “NCSU-Campus-Install Code42CrashPlan License and Config.pkg” is required in the policy as before for new installs.

Another Word about Surplus – 5 min
Materials management let me know last week (Oct 4th) that another batch of iMacs was surplused in violation of the surplus property guidelines.  These iMacs had not been erased and had unknown login names and passwords.  As a reminder, again, devices going to surplus must meet all requirements as signed off on the surplus tag, including having had the boot volume suitably formated.

VPN Security Update Cisco Secure AnyConnect 4.10.03104 – 5 min
OIT is testing the 4.1003104 version of Cisco AnyConnect for release in late Oct 2021.  The software is in the Jamf Pro distribution as NCSU-Campus-Cisco_Secure_AnyConnect_4.10.03104.pkg which installs and runs universal.  Cisco has released a high vulnerability alert for all versions prior to 4.10.03104.  See:
So far testing on macOS 10,11, and 12B9 has been positive.  Please test and update.

Jamf Pro Update to 10.32.2 – 10 min
Jamf Hosting will update our production Jamf Pro service to version 10.32.1 on Wed Sep 22, 2021 between 1800 and 2345 pm eastern time.  This update fixes 3 security issues and completes support for the latest Apple OSes.  See release notes at –
