OIT recognized for Wolfpack Gives Back participation

The Office of Information Technology (OIT) was one of 10 campus academic and administrative units recognized Jan. 25 for exceeding a 50 percent participation rate in the 2012 Wolfpack Gives Back effort, the annual State Employees Combined Campaign that allows employees to contribute to more than 1,000 nonprofit organizations statewide.

NC State set a giving record of $647,651 with a 41 percent participation rate. This was the highest rate of giving among universities with 3,000 employees or more within the University of North Carolina system.

On behalf of OIT, Dr. Marc Hoit, vice chancellor for information technology, accepted a certificate in recognition of OIT’s 51% participation rate during a campaign breakfast attended by university officials and campaign advisory board members and division leaders. For more information, read the Bulletin’s article, “Employee Giving Breaks Records.”
