2) AntiVirus Issues   – 10 min.

Two items on Antivirus.  We are tracking a few issues with OS X 10.11 and Kaspersky 10.x  with more details in MacTech.  Second, there is discussion about how to create a good, trouble free, total endpoint protection from malware going on in several places. Discussion

3) USWCA Casper Security MOU  – 5 min.

The Security group at UNC Chapel Hill has asked (and will take lead) that we create a memorandum of understanding about how high level Casper system administrator access will be used, communicated and verified between the organizations participating in the shared, hosted Casper environment at nc.jamfcloud.com.  Currently 7 people (one from each UNC system institution participating) have the highest level access to the shared Casper system. Each of these people have a separate admin ids. It is a very good idea for us to work on this MOU and support security best practices to the full extent that the Casper Software allows us to.  I will take an active part from NCSU.  Note that what is driving this MOU is that 2 more UNC System organizations will be adding ~5,000 devices over the next 6 months. Discussion

4) CrashPlan I2 Announcement – 5 min

www.internet2.edu/products-services/cloud-services-applications/crashplan-proe/#service-overview
We are currently using the same I2 “bundle” as in the recent Code 42 announcement. We have reached a cheaper tier (1000+) decreasing the per seat cost. The next upgrade will prepare us to take advantage of the InCommon security (post 5.1.x server). Discussion

5) Software Needs Summer 2016 – 15 min

We go around the room and ask everyone about needed software for next semester (or sooner). Discussion
