  • Gmail: Advanced Productivity will be offered on Wednesday, Nov. 15 from 9 a.m. to noon in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. Building on Gmail: More Than Your Inbox, this advanced hands-on workshop takes Gmail to the next level. You will learn more about labels, filters, canned responses, scheduling Google Calendar Events, Hangouts, using Google Drive through Gmail, and any planned or newly released features.   • Two-Factor Authentication at NC State will be offered on Wednesday, Nov. 15 and Dec. 13 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. NC State uses two multi-factor solutions to protect many systems, accounts and services. Google 2-Step protects G Suite accounts and Duo protects Shibboleth-connected services, like the MyPack Portal and WolfWare. During this workshop, you’ll learn the risks to you and to campus from phishing and other nefarious online activities and how two-factor authentication can protect you and the university against cyber threats.   • Google Sheets will be offered on Thursday, Nov. 16 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. This introduction to Google Sheets will focus on several specific features, including formatting options, data validation, basic functions, charts, conditional formatting, and more!   • Introduction to Google Hangouts will be offered on Tuesday, Nov. 28 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. Join us for this fun and interactive workshop to learn about Google Hangouts.   • Create, Collaborate & Get Organized with Google Drive will be offered on Wednesday, Nov. 29 and Tuesday Dec. 19 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. During this introductory hands-on workshop, you will learn how to use Drive to manage your resources in a collaborative environment. Primary topics will include organizing files and folders, securing documents through file sharing permissions, group editing and collaboration, and common tools throughout Google’s suite of apps.   • Cisco Jabber: Your all in one Collaboration Tool! will be offered on Thursday, Nov. 30 from noon to 1 p.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. This Lunch and Learn will provide an overview of how Cisco Jabber streamlines communications and enhances productivity by unifying presence, instant messaging, video, voice messaging, screen sharing, and conferencing capabilities securely into one client on your desktop and mobile device.   • Gmail: More Than Your Inbox will be offered on Tuesday, Dec. 5 from 9 a.m. to noon in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. There is more to Gmail than just composing, replying to and forwarding messages. This workshop will provide an in-depth overview of Gmail features, including an emphasis on labels and search tools, contacts management, chat, tasks, settings, labs, and new features.   • Google Docs will be offered on Wednesday, Dec. 6 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. This powerful word processor provides tools to create and format documents while collaborating with others in the cloud. Topics covered in this session include revision history, the explore tool, inserting and editing images, collaboration tools, downloading, importing and publishing to the web, add-ons and extensions, offline access, and more!   • Cisco WebEx will be offered on Wednesday, Nov. 6 from noon to 1 p.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. This Lunch & Learn event will provide an overview of how Cisco WebEx Online Meetings enables you to virtually meet, share content and video conference with anyone in the world with an internet connection, including mobile users!   • Google Slides: Animations will be offered on Thursday, Dec. 7 from noon to 1 p.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. Amp up your Slides with animations! In this fun session, you’ll learn how to use animations and transitions in Google Slides to add interest and interactivity to your presentations.   • Report2Web will be offered on Monday, Dec. 11 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. and again from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. Report2Web is a web-based enterprise report distribution, archival and retrieval solution that allows you to access critical business documents using a standard Web browser.   • Intermediate WordPress will be offered on Tuesday, Dec. 12 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. online via YouTube Live. In this workshop, you will learn about effective information architecture, the difference between good content and bad content and how to make sure your website is accessible to users with disabilities.   • The New Google Calendar will be offered on Tuesday, Dec. 12 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and Thursday, Dec. 14 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center.
