  • Intermediate WordPress: Gutenberg for Content Creators will be offered on Wednesday, April 18 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. online via YouTube Live. Gutenberg is the next-generation WordPress post and page editor, replacing the Visual Editor that has been the default editor of WordPress for the last 12 years. In this workshop, attendees will get to know Gutenberg, learn how to build block-based posts and pages, and receive helpful tips and tricks in preparation for the official release of Gutenberg.   • Google Forms will be offered on Thursday, April 19 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. This workshop will cover the basics of creating forms, collaborative editing and viewing data in spreadsheets. It will also introduce several advanced features such as custom themes, page breaks, question validation, and embedding forms in websites. To register, visit REPORTER.
  • Co-working Presentation: UComm Brand Updates will be offered on Friday, April 20 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. in Room 106 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. Scott Thompson of University Communications will present a brand update for designers and developers who provide web development services on campus. This session will tentatively include information on University Communication’s recent Bootstrap 4 CSS framework adaptation. To register, visit REPORTER.
  • Create, Collaborate & Get Organized with Google Drive will be offered on Tuesday, April 24 from 9 a.m. to noon in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. During this introductory hands-on workshop, you will learn how to use Drive to manage your resources in a collaborative environment. Primary topics will include organizing files and folders, securing documents through file sharing permissions, group editing and collaboration, and common tools throughout Google’s suite of apps.   • iWork Essentials will be offered on Wednesday, April 25 from noon to 1 p.m. in Room 106 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. Join Apple campus reps for an introduction to the iWork office suite. This one-hour session will provide an overview of Pages, Keynote, and Numbers along with cross compatibility of these apps. To register, visit REPORTER.
  • Gmail: Advanced Productivity will be offered on Thursday, April 26 from 9 a.m. to noon in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. Building on Gmail: More Than Your Inbox, this advanced hands-on workshop takes Gmail to the next level. You will learn more about labels, filters, canned responses, scheduling Google Calendar Events, Hangouts, using Google Drive through Gmail, and any planned or newly released features.   • WordPress Security will be offered on Thursday, April 26 from noon to 1 p.m online via YouTube Live. Join staff from OIT’s Web Services Team for this intermediate presentation on the security vulnerabilities of WordPress environments.   • Google Slides: Create, Collaborate and Publish Presentations will be offered on Tuesday, May 1 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. Participants will learn how to create presentations using Google Slides and will focus on editing, sharing and collaboration, themes, transitions, animations, and more! To register, visit REPORTER.
  • Google Sheets will be offered on Wednesday, May 2 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. This introduction class will focus on several specific features, including formatting options, data validation, basic functions, charts, conditional formatting, and more! To register, visit REPORTER.
  • Gmail: More Than Your Inbox will be offered on Thursday, May 3 from 9 a.m. to noon in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. There is more to Gmail than just composing, replying to and forwarding messages. This workshop will provide an in-depth overview of Gmail features, including an emphasis on labels and search tools, contacts management, chat, tasks, settings, labs, and new features.   • Google Calendar will be offered on Thursday, May 10 from 9 a.m. to noon in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. This workshop will focus on the new Google Calendar interface including event details, calendar management, settings, and more. To register, visit REPORTER.
  • SortSite Automated Accessibility Scanner Basics will be offered on Tuesday, May 15 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. Participants in this session will learn how to use the Sortsite Automated Accessibility Scanner to run website accessibility reports. Specific topics will include how to access the accessibility scanner, generate and read accessibility reports, and use report data to remediate websites. To register, visit REPORTER.
