Good, bad and ugly of email signatures

If you’ve received emails from other NC State G Suite accounts that are marked as SPAM, it might be due to an issue in the sender’s email signature that redirects to a bad image or website.

Email signatures often use images and quotes to reflect university information, professional status or school spirit. When created well, signature blocks are a great way to automatically send consistent information to others.

To create a good signature block:

  • Use the NC State logo developed by University Communications; and
  • View the Division of Student and Academic Affairs (DASA)’s Email Signatures web page for more tips on signature layout, content and appearance.
