In observance, NC State will host the “Decode Cybersecurity Triangle Tech Panel” on Wednesday, Oct. 10 from 10 a.m. to noon in the Duke Energy Hall of James B. Hunt Library. Six of the Triangle’s leading security experts will discuss the current cybersecurity landscape and help you to break down the mystique surrounding cybersecurity so you can actively defend yourself.

Hear panelists Laura Bottomley, Dr. William Enck, and Andy Kotynski, all of NC State; Jessica Nye of the FBI; Brian Wilson of SAS; and Kevin Runyan of EY explain:

  • current and future threats in cybersecurity
  • best security steps average people can take to protect themselves online
  • skills new hires should possess to land a successful career in cybersecurity
  • career opportunities in cybersecurity

In addition, human resources personnel from each of the five organizations will be available to discuss internships and exciting career opportunities in the cybersecurity industry.

Light refreshments will be provided, and there will be opportunities to win great  prizes, including an Apple Watch, a Nest security camera, a Wolfpack Outfitters gift card, and security keys.
