  • Intermediate WordPress: Gutenberg for Content Creators will be offered Tuesday, Nov. 27 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. Gutenberg is the next-generation WordPress post and page editor. In this workshop, attendees will get to know Gutenberg, learn how to build block-based posts and pages and receive helpful tips in preparation for the official release of Gutenberg.   • Gmail: Advanced Productivity will be offered on Thursday, Nov. 29 from 9 a.m. to noon in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. Building on Gmail: More Than Your Inbox, this advanced hands-on workshop will teach you more about labels, filters, canned responses, scheduling Google Calendar Events, Hangouts, using Google Drive through Gmail, and any planned or newly released features.   • Jamf Pro Best Practices for Packagers will be offered on Thursday, Nov. 29 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Room B3 of the Hillsborough Building. Everette Allen of OIT will discuss best practices to use Jamf Pro to configure OS X devices and install software. To register, visit REPORTER.
  • Intermediate WordPress: Gutenberg for Site Administrators will be offered on Tuesday, Dec. 4 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. online via YouTube Live. Gutenberg is the next-generation WordPress post and page editor.   • Gmail: More Than Your Inbox will be offered on Wednesday, Dec. 5 from 9 a.m. to noon in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. There is more to Gmail than just composing, replying to and forwarding messages. This workshop will provide an in-depth overview of Gmail features, including an emphasis on labels and search tools, contacts management, chat, tasks, settings, labs, and new features.   • Cisco Jabber: Your all in one Collaboration Tool! will be offered on Wednesday, Dec. 5 from noon to 1 p.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. This Lunch and Learn will provide an overview of how Cisco Jabber streamlines communications and enhances productivity by unifying presence, instant messaging, voice, video, voice messaging, screen sharing, and conferencing capabilities securely into one client on your desktop and mobile device.   • Create, Collaborate & Get Organized with Google Drive will be offered on Thursday, Dec. 6 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. During this introductory hands-on workshop, you will learn how to use Drive to manage your resources in a collaborative environment. Primary topics will include organizing files and folders, securing documents through file sharing permissions, group editing and collaboration, and common tools throughout Google’s suite of apps.   • Google Docs – More Than a Text Editor will be offered on Tuesday, Dec. 11 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. This powerful word processor allows you to create and format documents while collaborating with others in the cloud. Topics covered in this session include revision history, the explore tool, inserting and editing images, collaboration tools, downloading, importing, publishing to the web, add-ons and extensions, offline access, and more!   • Cisco WebEx will be offered on Tuesday, Dec. 11 from noon to 1 p.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. This Lunch & Learn event will provide an overview of how Cisco WebEx Online Meetings enables you to virtually meet, share content and video conference with anyone in the world with an internet connection, including mobile users!   • Intermediate WordPress: Content Management will be offered on Tuesday, Dec. 11 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. online via YouTube Live. You’ve learned the Basics of WordPress, but now what? How do you take all of your ideas and communicate them effectively on the web? In this workshop, OIT Design, Education and Outreach will show you how to develop an effective information architecture, determine good content from bad content and ensure your website is accessible to all users.   • Google Slides: Create, Collaborate and Publish Presentations will be offered on Wednesday, Dec. 12 from 10 a.m. to noon in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center.   • Google Calendar: Advanced Productivity will be offered on Thursday, Dec. 13 from 9 a.m. to noon in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. If you’re comfortable with the basics of Google Calendar and are ready to use some more of its features, this hands-on workshop is for you. This workshop will focus on the new Calendar interface, event details and Calendar management.
