OIT ComTech is offering campus departments the opportunity to purchase specific VoIP desk phones to be used by employees who work remotely. The service is called Mobile Remote Access (MRA).  

The MRA system allows these phones to connect to the university’s voice system from off campus without the need of a virtual private network connection. The Cisco Jabber software based telephone already utilizes this system. 

Using the new service, you can seamlessly take the university’s communication system to your home.

You can place and receive phone calls, join conference calls and access the campus voicemail system, all with your university supplied phone number.
