  • Report2Web will be offered on Tuesday, Feb. 19 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. Report2Web is a web-based enterprise report distribution, archival and retrieval solution that allows you to access critical business documents using a standard web browser. During this course, you will learn how to navigate and find reports to which you have access and approve reports, if you are an approver. To register, visit REPORTER.
  • Basics of WordPress will be offered on Tuesday, Feb. 19 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m online via YouTube Live. Learn everything you need to know to get started using WordPress at NC State. This workshop will cover topics including setup, configuration, themes, plugins, settings, options, and management of WordPress. To register, visit REPORTER.
  • Gmail: Advanced Productivity will be offered on Wednesday, Feb. 20 from 9 a.m. to noon in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. Building on Gmail: More Than Your Inbox, this advanced hands-on workshop takes Gmail to the next level. You will learn more about labels, filters, canned responses, scheduling Google Calendar Events, Hangouts, and using Google Drive through Gmail along with any planned or newly released features Google has in store.   • Managing Apple Devices with Jamf Pro will be offered on Wednesday, Feb. 20 from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Room B3 of the Hillsborough Building. Attendees will learn how to use Jamf Pro to manage Apple devices running macOS, iOS and tvOS. This workshop will also cover best practices for using the Jamf Pro deployment at NC State.   • Introduction to Google Keep will be offered on Tuesday, Feb. 26 from noon to 1 p.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. Google Keep makes it easy to organize your notes with color coding, labels and reminders. Join OIT Trainers for an introduction to this new G Suite core app and explore how to edit and create new notes in Google Docs, pin notes, organize Keep notes, record notes with voice dictation, transcribe text from images, and share and collaborate with others.   • Intermediate WordPress: Content Management will be offered on Wednesday, Feb. 26 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. online via Youtube Live. You’ve learned the Basics of WordPress, but now what? How do you take all of your ideas and communicate them effectively on the web? In this workshop, OIT Design, Education and Outreach will show you how to develop an effective information architecture, determine good content from bad content, and ensure your website is accessible to all users.   • Mobile Device Security for Your Android & iOS Devices will be offered on Wednesday, Feb. 27 from noon to 1 p.m. in Room 3285 of the Talley Student Union. As part of Data Privacy Month, OIT invites you and your iOS or Android device to attend its mobile device security presentation. Do you know if your mobile device is really secure? Have you implemented the right security measures? No worries. Daniel Sink and Everette Allen from OIT will take you through step-by-step recommendations to secure your iOS and Android devices.   • Google Slides: Create, Collaborate and Publish Presentations will be offered on Thursday, Feb. 28 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. Participants will learn how to create presentations using Google Slides and will focus on editing, sharing and collaboration, themes, transitions, and animations. To register, visit REPORTER.
  • Cisco WebEx will be offered on Thursday, Feb. 28 from noon to 1 p.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. This Lunch & Learn event will provide an overview of how Cisco WebEx Online Meetings enables you to virtually meet, share content and video conference with anyone in the world with an internet connection, including mobile users.   • Introduction to Final Cut will be offered on Tuesday, March 5 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Room 2113 (ITTC 2) of the D. H. Hill Library. This 90-minute, hands-on class will look at the Final Cut Pro 10.3 interface as well as basic importing, editing, effect, and exporting techniques. Attendees will learn how to import footage into Final Cut, explore different ways to edit and apply effects, add titles, adjust audio, look at compound clips, and export a finished product.   • Gmail: More Than Your Inbox will be offered on Thursday, March 7 from 9 a.m. to noon in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. There is more to Gmail than just composing, replying to and forwarding messages. This workshop will provide an in-depth overview of Gmail features, including an emphasis on labels and search tools, contacts management, chat, tasks, settings, labs, and new features.   • WordPress Accessibility Helper Basics will be offered online via YouTube Live on Thursday, March 7 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. This one-hour session will focus on the new NC State Accessibility Helper in WordPress. This tool scans for many accessibility barriers in your WordPress site and provides feedback on how to fix these barriers. To register, visit REPORTER.
  • Google Docs: More Than a Text Editor will be offered on Tuesday, March 12 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. This powerful word processor provides tools to create and format documents while collaborating with others in the cloud. Topics covered in this session include revision history, the explore tool, inserting and editing images, collaboration tools, downloading, importing and publishing to the web, add-ons and extensions, and offline access.   • Google Calendar: Advanced Productivity will be offered on Wednesday, March 13 from 9 a.m. to noon in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. If you’re comfortable with the basics of Google Calendar and are ready to use more of its features, this hands-on workshop is for you. This workshop will focus on the new Calendar interface, event details and Calendar management. Specific features will include event attachments, maps and directions, sharing and embedding calendars, search options, and scheduling Hangouts (video conferencing). To register, visit REPORTER.
  • Cisco Jabber: Your All-In-One Collaboration Tool! will be offered on Thursday, March 14 from noon to 1 p.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. This Lunch & Learn will provide an overview of how Cisco Jabber streamlines communications and enhances productivity by unifying presence, instant messaging, voice, video, voice messaging, screen sharing, and conferencing capabilities securely in one client on your desktop and mobile device.   • System Access Request Training (SAR) is now offered online. This training will provide an overview of the SAR application for campus requesters and approvers and will demonstrate how to submit a SAR request for different connected systems.
