OIT will reimburse employees for the cost of successfully completed certification exams and certification renewals under the following circumstances:
- The employee and the employee’s manager have agreed in advance on the following, usually during the annual work planning process or as additional staff development funds become available:
- that the certification is directly relevant to the employee’s current job responsibilities or planned career progression
- on the date the employee will take the exam
- Funds are available to defray the cost.
