Official university email

Official use

Official university email is always sent to your UnityID@ncsu.edu email address.

• Everyone's email address is comprised of their Unity ID, followed by the @ sign, followed by the university's Internet identifier ncsu.edu. i.e., yourunityid@ncsu.edu.

Forwarding

If you have email forwarding set up within Gmail, then of course the email sent to your official email account will be forwarded to your forwarding address.

Privacy

Your university email address is public information, but if you are a student you can delete it from the NC State campus directory for privacy reasons if you wish. Here's how:

1. Go to the Mypack PortalThis link will open in a new window.
2. Select Student Self Service.
3. Select Campus Personal Information.
4. Select Email Addresses and update as desired.

Contacts

If you know someone's Unity ID, then you can send them an email using UnityID@ncsu.edu. Otherwise, you can look them up in the Campus DirectoryThis link will open in a new window or contact them directly and ask for their email address.
